2 Methodology 

2.1 Equipments needed for experiment:
- 3 Metal Cups. (Minimum 300ml)
- Deionised water
- A Glass rod
- Liquid Nitrogen
- Measuring cylinder, 250ml
- 2 Styrofoam boxes
- Datalogger, 2 temperature sensors
- Sugar, Salt

2.3 Procedures
For Boiling Control
1) Put 250ml of water into the metal cup, place metal cup onto the hotplate.
2) Place the temperature sensor into the cup during heating.
3) Use the data logger to collect the data
4) While heating the metal cup, stir the metal cup to ensure even heating.
5) When removing the cup from the hotplate, use a cloth or gloves to ensure that you do not get burnt.

For boiling salt
1) Put 250ml of water into the metal cup, and place "x" amount of salt into the metal cup
2) Use the glass rod to stir the salt solution till dissolved
3) Place cup on hotplate
4) Place the temperature sensor into the cup during heating.
5) Use the data logger to collect the data
6) While heating the metal cup, stir the metal cup to ensure even heating.
7) When removing the cup from the hotplate, use a cloth or gloves to ensure that you do not get burnt.

For boiling sugar
1) Put 250ml of water into the metal cup, and place "x" amount of sugar into the metal cup
2) Use the glass rod to stir the salt solution till dissolved
3) Place cup on hotplate
4) Place the temperature sensor into the cup during heating.
5) Use the data logger to collect the data
6) While heating the metal cup, stir the metal cup to ensure even heating.
7) When removing the cup from the hotplate, use a cloth or gloves to ensure that you do not get burnt.

For each boiling component, the set up is conducted 2 times to get the average

For chilling control
1) Put 250 ml of water into the metal cup
2) Put the lid on and slide the temperature sensor through the hole in the centre
3) Put the cup into the styrofoam box and slip the wire though the hole in the styrofoam box lid
4) Hooked up the sensor to the data logger
5) Pour in the liquid nitrogen so it fills up the bottom of the box
6) When removing the cup, wear gloves to prevent your hand from getting frost bite

For chilling salt
1) Put 250 ml of water into the metal cup
2) Add in "x" amount of salt and stir till dissolved
3) Put the lid on and slide the temperature sensor through the hole in the centre
4) Put the cup into the styrofoam box and slip the wire though the hole in the styrofoam box lid
5) Hooked up the sensor to the data logger
6) Pour in the liquid nitrogen so it fills up the bottom of the box
7) When removing the cup, wear gloves to prevent your hand from getting frost bite

For chilling sugar
1) Put 250 ml of water into the metal cup
2) Add in "x" amount of sugar and stir till dissolved
3) Put the lid on and slide the temperature sensor through the hole in the centre
4) Put the cup into the styrofoam box and slip the wire though the hole in the styrofoam box lid
5) Hooked up the sensor to the data logger
6) Pour in the liquid nitrogen so it fills up the bottom of the box
